Turkey – Children’s Clothing
“Dear members of the charity and those who sent valuable aid. I, as an earthquake survivor would like to thank you… for approaching and not forgetting us. The memory of the aid you have given to … children will surpass the memory of a ruined house or building. Thank you again.”
We have received the above message today, after together with our friends from the Turkish charity “Başkent Gönüllüleri Derneği” we were able to successfully complete the project for provision of children’s clothes to those kids still living in Hatay, Tukey.
Almost 6 months ago devastating earthquake has struck Turkey and Syria. Mere scale of devastation and ruin makes it impossible to quickly restore the previous life for citizens of affected areas and hence they are forced to live in the very hard conditions.
We, at Humanitarian Aid Guernsey, would like to thank each and every one of you for your donations towards the immediate aid to Turkey.
